JEN'S WEDDING VENDORS: )

I have so many vendor friends now that it was so hard to choose who to ask to do my wedding!  There are so many fabulous vendors that would have done a great job.  People have been asking, so here it is!  The biggest question I get is who is going to do your flowers?  Beautiful Blooms by Jen of course!  Meghan and Molly will be helping, along with other florist friends who have been gracious enough to offer their help!  It's going to take a team that is for sure!

Flowers: Beautiful Blooms by Jen
So excited for these brand new candelabras! And PINK candles!  (They will be the right size for the wedding I promise)

These were a favorite out of mine in California and I'm bringing them to Ohio!  They are made of wax and work great as a vase or with a candle inside it glows!  There is one more that is taller than these two as well. They come in any color!

Love these bright pink cubes.  All of the above will be available for rent AFTER my wedding : )
Venue: Stone Ridge Golf Course.

I did this gorgeous wedding at Stone Ridge in May 2010 and fell in love!
Concept Design and Stationary: Elite Events
Save the Dates.

Loved my mood board! We've moved away from the light pink, but it still helped so much!

What Makes BBBJ The Best?

Brides often ask us what makes us different than other florists?  One of the reasons is that Beautiful Blooms by Jen fully services their weddings!  What does that mean you ask?

We deliver the flowers and make sure our product is the best it could possibly be. We set up everything you ordered, pin on corsages and boutonnieres and problem solve. Although we are not wedding coordinators, we do coordinate with your photographer to make sure we are there in plenty of time for them to take as many pictures of the flowers as they want. We also coordinate with the cake and reception venue and set up accordingly. This helps you because it is one less thing for you to worry about!

Here are some examples of things you may need BBBJ to do. Just a few weeks ago I had a bride who ordered 5 groomsmen boutonnieres. When the boys showed up there were 6. I was able to pin the ring bearer's boutonniere on a groomsmen, run back to my car, make a new one real fast and was back in my spot before the ring bearer arrived. The bride never knew there was an issue.  I've even had brides who actually had extra tables at the reception when I arrive. How silly would it look if those were left without anything?  And earlier in the spring a hem of a groomsmen's pant leg was coming out. We fixed it.  Sometimes church coordinators think it's helpful to me to help pin on corsages and boutonnieres.... When they break the flower heads off, we are there to fix them : )  And we're also the ones with the scissors to cut hanger straps out of your dress, the ones with the tide to go pen and hairspray.

We can even add flowers to the dog's collar!  Sarah J Photography

It may save you some money to pick up the flowers yourself, but it makes me so sad when I see wedding pictures when I see boutonnieres that are sideways or all floppy on jackets. Or the pins are showing!   That is not the way you want what you paid for to look!  If BBBJ is there, the flowers will look exactly the way they should.

Captured With Love Photography

You hired your photographer to photograph.  You don't want them pinning on corsages and boutonnieres even though they know how.  They also shouldn't be chasing groomsmen around and telling them to go get dressed. If you have a wedding coordinator you hire them to coordinate the wedding, you hire BBBJ to coordinate the flowers which are a major decoration. Please let us make your flowers the best they can possibly be. We are trained professionals in FLOWERS! The only Certified Florist in Northwest Ohio!  We don't dabble in a lot of random things. We excel in one!  Look how happy you could be!

Thanks Sarah J for capturing this awesome moment!

And it makes us happy when you're happy!  Sarah J Photography

New Feature! 7-31-10 Lauren Gibson and Tom Creque

I love this shot!

The groom's boutonniere.

Kyle and I were guests too!
Lauren and Tom are some of my best friends! I was so honored when they chose me to be their florist! Lauren's favorite flower is the gerbera daisy so I knew they were going to be a major element, along with her favorite color green.  Everything could not have been prettier since their ceremony was at Four Star Greenhouse in their gardens.  Then we moved to Holland Gardens and the centerpieces were really fun!  Hope you all love it!  Please check out more at our wedding site!

Thanks so much to TJ Irwin Photography who did a fabulous job with the pictures!  Can't wait to work together again soon!

They knew to buy their cut flowers at Beautiful Blooms by Jen!  If you need flowers for your garden, please visit Lauren and Tom at Creque's Greenhouse!  Their veggie stand should be ready soon and hopefully strawberries too! : )

Love these Yellow roses with orangey tips!  The orange lilies will be gorgeous for Sat too!

Yellow fuji mums, orange hypericum berries, craspedia and yellow alstro will be amazing textures!

Memorial Day Weekend Wedding Flower Preview

Love the pink and white!

This one is going to be super fun! And orange celosia is coming in Friday! Can't wait!

Check Out My Student's Work!

My students have been amazing this year and I just wanted to show everyone what fabulous designers they have become!  This was the first time I have had the whole class design a funeral shape before.  They picked their own flowers, shape and designed everything themselves. What do you think?  I'll pass along your comments : )

For anyone who doesn't already know, I teach floral design and greenhouse for Toledo Public Schools. I have juniors and seniors from all of the different high schools every morning for the entire year.  Our school is called the Natural Science Technology Center and it is right next to Toledo Botanical Gardens.

Here you go!

Here are 5 out of my 7 students in our greenhouse right before our plant sale.
For more information about the Natural Science Technology Center please call 419-537-1198 or email penny.miller@tps.org .  Please call 419-517-8821 to add your name to the list if you are interested in floral design classes at Beautiful Blooms by Jen.  When we get 5 or 6 people available we will schedule one! Thanks!
