Holiday Consulatations

Are you coming into town for Easter or off for Spring Break? Call 419-367-0588 or email Jen at beautifulbloomsbyjen@yahoo.com to schedule your free consultation. BBBJ is now booking weddings for 2011 and 2012. A few dates may still be available for 2010.

I will be out of school (I teach floral design at a high school) from April 2nd-April 11th so I am wide open pretty much all day every day. We can find a time that works for you! Appointments are usually under an hour and are at a Panera closest to you since I work from my home.

Looking for ideas? Theknot.com has thousands of ideas for you! Feel free to email them to me using their "email to a friend" feature so I know what you like or don't like! Beautifulbloomsbyjen.com also has tons of examples of things I have done in the past. I look forward to learning more about your special day!

Wouldn't that be gorgeous in the entryway of your reception?

New Trends for 2010

I went to the Great Lakes Floral Expo a few weeks ago in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I had so much fun learning about trends for 2010 and all kinds of new ideas. In part one about my conference, check out these awesome bouquets. Cascade bouquets and arm bouquets are definitely in for 2010! Let me know what you think about these bouquets, and make sure to check back for part two and three!

Tulips and Billy Balls

Another successful wedding day! Marissa and Patrick came to me knowing exactly what they wanted to do and it was fun to make their dream a reality today. We were going to do all the bouquets with red tulips and the fun billy balls (aka craspedias), but about a month ago Marissa found a picture she fell in love with. I'm so glad we changed it up a bit because the final product looked perfect with her dress. Marissa's bouquet was made out of white ranunculus and white tulips and the bridemaid's bouquets were the red tulips and billy balls.

For the boys we did billy ball boutonnieres. I tried out magnets instead of pins to attach them to their jackets and they loved them. They were really fun. Even the Pastor Tim came up and asked what the fun yellow flowers were! I also really liked the aisle decorations that Marissa had done herself.

Here are some pictures that I took myself so I could share with you today. Karen and Doug with Mattson Pictures were there though and they always do a wonderful job so I'll be sure to share as soon as I get them. Let me know what you think!

Lanterns for your Event!

Check out these awesome lanterns from a wedding I was at over the weekend. The designer said he is able to deliver them and install them wherever your wedding is taking place. He can also match the lanterns to the theme of your wedding. Aren't they great? The lanterns really added to the ambiance of the wedding reception!
